Challenge:

This large-scale, dual-purpose facility required parallel systems for retirement and long-term care wings, all while staying on schedule within a tightly coordinated multi-trade environment. The project demanded careful leadership across trades, daily coordination with site foremen, and management of late-stage scope additions.

Solution:

• Installed PMTronics access control systems with Sargent Assa Abloy locks (wired and Aperio wireless)
• Deployed maglocks and electric strikes at all secure entry points
• Ran extensive low-voltage cabling, including 25-pair analog phone lines and structured Cat6
• Installed and programmed a SARA nurse call system by Status Solutions
• Connected universal transmitters to smoke alarms in the retirement wing
• Integrated the Edwards EST4 fire panel with nurse call for emergency routing
• Supplied and commissioned elevator card access readers for Delta Elevator

Results:

• All systems were delivered and commissioned on time and to spec
• The facility is fully secure, compliant, and tailored to the specific operational needs of both retirement and long-term care functions
• Smooth coordination across trades led to a successful and delay-free turnover to the client
