Challenge:
The client was completing a large addition to an existing home and wanted a unified smart home experience. The goal was to modernize both the new and original sections with fully integrated automation, security, and AV systems.
Solution:
- Installed structured network and low voltage cabling across both original and new sections
- Deployed Crestron Home for unified automation and control
- Installed a rack-based distributed audio/video system
- Mounted Hikvision surveillance cameras throughout the property
- Integrated a DSC security system
- Programmed custom lighting scenes, AV zones, and security presets
- Integrated all systems into in-wall Crestron touchscreen displays
Results:
- Fully modernized smart home with centralized control
- Lighting, security, and media now manageable from wall panels and mobile devices
- Seamless experience across both old and new parts of the home with no tech fragmentation
