Overview
Client: O&B (Hospitality), Encore (Contractor)
Completed: Summer 2025
Services: Network Cabling Upgrade, Wi‑Fi Access Point Installation
Challenge:
The project was conducted inside a historic heritage home, originally built in 1931 as Donningvale for a high-ranking Eaton executive. Renovations required extraordinary care to preserve its ornate crown moldings, architectural detailing, and exposed structural elements. Additionally, asbestos warnings and lack of convenient cable pathways made low-voltage retrofit especially delicate.
Solution:
- Carefully planned and executed new network cabling upgrade and terminations with minimal disturbance to architectural finishes
- Strategically installed Wi‑Fi access points to ensure full coverage without compromising aesthetics
- Used best practices to navigate rigid, non-structured wall cavities—choosing invasive routes only where absolutely necessary
Results:
- Delivered a reliable, modern network and Wi‑Fi system while fully respecting the heritage and integrity of the structure
- Maintained pristine interiors—preserving furniture, molding, and historical fabric throughout installation
- Seamless functionality balanced with architectural conservation, setting the tone for sophisticated venue use
